Americans love being number one. So let's all join together and celebrate our monumental efforts are remaining the number one incarcerator of people in the world! We are leaving Russia (number 2) and the rest of the world in the dust: Nobody builds prisons as fast as Americans!

According to a story by Elizabeth White at Truthout:

Washington - Prisons and jails added more than 1,000 inmates each week for a year, putting almost 2.2 million people, or one in every 136 US residents, behind bars by last summer.

Only one in every 136 people? There's still a ton of people that need to be arrested. Obviously we're going to have to pick up the pace. At the current rate it would take nearly 6,000 years to incarcerate everyone--except the important people like the Bush's, Kennedy's, Dupont's etc.

Write your representatives and urge them to support legislation that would increase the incarceration rate from about a thousand a week to about 576,000 a week, allowing us to reach our goal of a total police state in about ten years.
