Interesting TidbitsFrom an article on the Organic Consumers Association website, some interesting historical tidbits most of us were probably not aware of:· Rudolf Diesel, the inventor of the diesel engine, designed it to run on vegetable and seed oils like hemp. In fact, when the diesel engine was first introduced at the World's Fair in 1900, it ran on peanut oil.You can read the whole article here, and sigh a little sigh of despair at what this world would have been like, would be like NOW, without the oil industry's "massive lobbying power in Washington." | +Save/Share | | |
