Cynics like myself have been maintaining that
this phenomenon is a blatant Republican ploy for November votes, and apparently a large number of my fellow citizens are now in that cynical camp. Here, from The Nation, is a nice simple explanation of just how politically correct it is to be a sneering cynic, because we are, quite simply - right.
