Laura Bush Plays the Blame GameAnything but taking the blame for it, including trotting out Laura to spew the talking points (video at Crooks and Liars):Appearing on MSNBC this morning with Norah O’Donnell, Laura Bush blamed the media, when asked why only 21% of Americans, in a recent NBC poll, said they approved of her husband's Iraq policy. What we don't support, Laura, is your husband's war. Stop blaming everyone but your husband and tell him to stop hiding behind your skirt and hiding behind the troops. It also obvious that you didn't read the Iraq Study Group Report pp. 94-95: In addition, there is significant underreporting of the violence in Iraq. The standard for recording attacks acts as a filter to keep events out of reports and databases…For example, on one day in July 2006 there were 93 attacks or significant acts of violence reported. Yet a careful review of the reports for that single day brought to light 1,100 acts of violence. Good policy is difficult to make when information is systematically collected in a way that minimizes its discrepancy with policy goals.Being such an avid reader, may I suggest that you take some time to read the report? Better yet, read it to Tom DeLay too, will you? Tags:
