Give Vick the Boot

As an advocate of animal rights and a supporter of PETA, it was greatly disturbing to read about the recent allegations against Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick. By all accounts Michael Vick has been knee deep in dog fighting for quite some time. Some of my friends who follow professional football have been aware of this for quite some time. Just in case you've been hiding under a rock and haven't heard about this:

The 27-year-old, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, was indicted on Wednesday by a federal grand jury in Richmond, Virginia, along with three other men on charges of running an illegal dog-fighting ring.

The good news is you can help. The Humane Society has a campaign to get Vick suspended immediately. If you click the link you can fill out the form and send a letter to the commissioner of the NFL demanding that Vick be dealt with. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is also waging a campaign against the star quarterback. Click on the links, write a letter or use the one they have, and let the NFL know this is not going to fly. Please help! And tell everyone you know about this campaign, too!
