And here's a grim reminder that a considerable part of American fighting forces in Iraq are American mercenaries: Severed fingers of 5 hostages held in Iraq delivered to U.S. by Hannah Allam, McClatchy Newspapers 03/12/08.

FEATURED QUOTE

"It is the logic of our times
No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."
