Iraq Veterans Memorial

An on-line memorial
to American men and women in uniform whose lives were lost in the Iraq war seems a fitting place to visit on Memorial Day. I can't think of a better memorial to their memory than to listen to their loved ones tell us about them.

Yes, it is not easy. But this is a war fought by a very few - the sacrifices and the grief are borne out of our sight.

No wonder this pointless war has continued for so long.

FEATURED QUOTE

"It is the logic of our times
No subject for immortal verse
That we who lived by honest dreams
Defend the bad against the worse."

-- Cecil Day-Lewis from Where Are The War Poets?
