What a surprise! The Associated Press reports:The head of the Environmental Protection Agency initially supported giving California and other states full or partial permission to limit tailpipe emissions -- but reversed himself after hearing from the White House, a report said Monday. This administration learned nothing from Katrina - an event that should have provided some insight into the consequences of filling the leadership offices of the government with political hacks. They have learned nothing from the US Attorney scandal, which clearly demonstrated that bad things happen when decisions are always made by White House political advisers. This president has undermined the mission of every department of our government. Every legitimate purpose has been pushed aside to align with the Bush political agenda, and co-opted by "Bushies" - the lackluster and corruptible hacks chosen for their loyalty rather than any competence or experience. It will take years to undo the damage. | +Save/Share | | |
