It May Become Official, No Rewriting Science Reports for the White HouseHere's where we are in government today, folks - Senate Democrats are now proposing yet another amendment to the Energy Bill's current three. This one is not a proposal for ways to end global warming, not about CAFE standards or tax loopholes for SUV's - no, this is an amendment aimed "at preventing the rewriting of federal scientific reports for political purposes." The Philip Cooneys of this world can no longer rewrite the bad news so it looks like only sorta bad news, nothing to panic over, if this amendment passes. Nope, the Prez will have to get his scientific reports as they came from the horse's mouth. It may not be possible for the Senate Minority Leader to say this eventually. Maybe. "The American people are concerned about climate change," Reid said. "People know what's going on. The only place they don't know it is 16th and Pennsylvania Avenue." | +Save/Share | | |
