Chemical Weapons: Good for us; bad for you!I've been really slow getting at this. For those of us following the tragedy in Iraq, reports that US troops were using napalm and other "chemical agents" in Iraq have been long coming. Like the tales of abuse, they were dismissed as propaganda until more and more evidence amassed to the point that it could no longer be denied. In December the US government formally denied the reports, describing them as "widespread myths". "Some news accounts have claimed that US forces have used 'outlawed' phosphorus shells in Fallujah," the USinfo website said. "Phosphorus shells are not outlawed. US forces have used them very sparingly in Fallujah, for illumination purposes. Widespread myths. Think about that for a moment. It was the same tactic used regarding the alleged torture. We are lied to again and again, and by the time the truth comes out we collectively shrug our shoulders and move on to uncover the next lie. When is enough enough? I'm asking you to click here and watch a film about our use of chemical weapons in Iraq. We need to see what's going on over there. It's important to understand just how devestating these weapons are; and, more importantly, just how indiscriminate they are in who they kill. Please watch the video and then join us in stopping this horrible war in Iraq. | +Save/Share | | |
