W(hat) W(ould) S(atan) D(rive)? We all know about the What Would Jesus Drive discussion begun some years ago by the Evangelical Environmental Network, don't we? It's been used as an anti-SUV advertising campaign, become the title of a book, and, heck, people have had all kinds of fun with this slogan. Although, come to think of it, I haven't heard it mentioned much lately. Anyway, I'm here today to draw your attention to a little piece of fluff I found on the Netscape welcome screen. From the Autos section, an article called "What Would the Devil Drive?", by Eric Peters. He's having a lot of fun with this whole concept, and I did too. My first candidate for Satan's towncar was a Hummer Alpha, but no - that's only second on the list. Peters gives us a vehicle I am unfamiliar with by the simple fact that it costs $1.7 million and has the capacity to go 250 mph: the Bugatti Veyron. Mmmm yes, I can certainly see The Evil One in this vehicle. No one could possibly claim their kids were safer in this one. | +Save/Share | | |
