Dobson's World O' WarVia Pat Lang, a military briefing paper called Iranian President Ahmadinejad, Islamic Eschatology, and Near-Term Implications. (For the godless heathens among our readers - you know who you are! - "eschatology" means end-of-the-world.)If I understand Lang's somewhat cryptic comment correctly, he's worrying that there are too many officers in the US military who are looking at the world - including politics and military affairs - through a Christian-fundamentalist viewpoint that is a counterpart to the supposed Twelver Shi'a version. It's hard to know which to be more concerned about: their loons or ours. I should add that I saw several whoppers just flipping through this. It's an interesting document because it's being taken seriously by people in the military and gives a good sampling of Iran hawk propaganda. But if you're one of those old-fashioned people like me who prefers "reality-based" information, you shouldn't take anything on this document as fact unless you have a better source than this to make you think so. | +Save/Share | | |
