Workers of the WorldIf it drives you nuts to see people flying the Mexican flag in this country, this post is for you. If you think this country is on the brink of economic collapse due to lazy immigrants from Mexico, Central America, and South America, then this post is for you. Relax. I don't have time to pick apart all the stupid arguments I've heard from people on this issue. But I would like to encourage my fellow citizens of European descent to look at this issue from another vantage point. This is a trick. If you are white or a nativist of this country and you believe that illegal immigrants are a real and growing problem, then you've been tricked. It's like a magician using slight of hand to get you to look one place while he performs his "magic" in another place. While you get all steamed up over the poor guy busing tables at the local Denny's for minimum wage because he doesn't have a green card, people like Michael Eisner are making $80,000 an hour and laying off real hard-working Americans like you! It's really a wonderful little trick when you think about it. The Corporate Elite in this country can completely screw us over, send our jobs overseas, and pay us a pittance for the jobs that remain, and convince us it's all the fault of the poorest people among us! And the sad thing is you all fall for it hook, like, and sinker. There really are two Americas. One is comprised of hard-working people of all stripes and colors. We form the backbone of this nation. We produce the wealth of this country. The other America is comprised of that top 5% of Americans who live off our sweat. They are the Waltons and Rockafellers. They are the people who steal the wealth we create and convince us to fight amongst each other for the scraps they let fall from the table. The question is, "How long are you going to fall for this trick?" Because, frankly, it's getting old really fast. | +Save/Share | | |
