A Bad Slasher Movie

The war in Iraq continues. Our elected representatives have voted to continue the bloodshed, and no amount of blogging or protest will make it stop. Even Democrats think that there is a possiblility of victory of sorts, the votes in the House and Senate last week along the lines of "Put Up or Shut Up" resulted in most of the Democrats choosing shut up.

And so the mayhem continues.

To me, it's like watching one of those bad slasher movies, where teenagers are killed in the most hideous ways, blood and body parts everywhere, but those people who could stop it with a vote, remain silent.

In this movie, our young people are wearing the US uniform, and those folks in charge who could stop the deaths of these kids will not utter a word to save their lives for fear of losing the swing votes.

The bad guy in this movie is not Freddy Krueger, it is our own Congress, even our own Democrats, who have chosen to make the sequel to the movie.
