Catching terroristsInvestigative journalist Robert Perry is not especially impressed by the bust of halfwit Al Qaida wannabes in Miami that Abu Gonzales pulled off last week. In Terrorists in Miami, Oh My! ConsortiumNews.com 06/24/06, he writes:The Bush administration finally took action against alleged terrorists living in plain sight in Miami, but they weren't the right-wing Cuban terrorists implicated in actual acts of terror, such as blowing a civilian Cuban airliner out of the sky. They were seven young black men whose crime was more "aspirational than operational," the FBI said. ...Apparently for the Bush dynasty, even within the borders of the US there are still "bad" terrorists and "good" ones. Or at least "not so bad" ones. Maybe next the FBI will nail some animal-rights activists plotting to violate local ordinances by keeping too many cats and dogs in their houses. Wonder how the Justice Department is doing on running down the culprits behind the anthrax attacks in late 2001? | +Save/Share | | |
