To Everyone a Season

We began The Blue Voice as a crew of eight virtual friends from AOL Journals, folks who had come to know one another as progressive political journalers who wanted to join together to make their Voices heard beyond the scope of AOL.

Life happens to all of us, and as some of us discovered less time for blogging than we had originally hoped to have, we decided to invite another of our progressive friends onboard to help us with those daily posts. Thus Lisa:-] became a Blue Voice early in the current year, and has become a valuable member of our idiosyncratic team. Her Voice has added a feisty personal note to our pages.

Life in a collective is less than easy, not always comfortable, and ultimately is not always the right choice for everyone. Neil's life became too busy for him to allot the necessary time to work on TBV, and last month he made the difficult decision to leave the group. We miss his Voice, are always glad to see his comments and know that he is with us in spirit. You can still read him on his individual blog at Neil's Journal.

The eight of us who head into Year Two of TBV will often have life situations that make our posting time ebb and flow, but we remain committed to bringing you our takes on the day's events, our Voicepoints on this crazy world in which we're living. Thanks for reading, and for offering us your voices in return.
