Leaving LebanonIf you're one of the lucky ones, and you happened to get on a helicopter yesterday, great for you, you're probably safe now.If you're one of those people like those last year in New Orleans who thought that the Federal Government was truly interested in your well being, I'm sorry. There are people who are tired of waiting for the US embassy in Beirut to get it's act together and let them know what's going on. Those people are risking life and limb by entering Syria to fly home, in order to escape the war before they become it's next victims. I wish them Godspeed. For those who are trusting the Feds to come and rescue them from a life and death situation, I would urge them to remember the fiasco in New Orleans last fall, and those people trapped on rooftops. | +Save/Share | | |
