Ladies and Gentlemen, We Have a Winner!A couple of weeks ago I linked to the voting site for the cartoon contest being held at the Union of Concerned Scientists, Who Will Be American's Next Science Idol? , and I do hope you voted on time, because the voting is now over and the winner has been announced. My favorite did not win, but the winning cartoon is pictured here, and it's totally worthy of first place. If you don't happen to be wearing your bifocals, the text says: "You are completely free to carry out whatever research you want, so long as you come to these conclusions."You can meet this year's Science Idol, James MacLeod, here. You can also order the calendar, with all twelve - plus a bonus two - cartoons lampooning the state of scientific integrity as practiced by this administration. | +Save/Share | | |
