Anarchism 101 Lesson #1

We do a lot of criticizing here at TBV but we don't often spend much time articulating what we stand for. I certainly don't speak for the other members of TBV but I have been wanting to share my views and hopes for the future. This seems to be a particularly important time. The Libertarian movement in this country is gaining ground; there's a huge groundswell of support for quasi-libertarian candidate Ron Paul. Unfortunately, even a lot of anarchists get sucked in by the apparent appeal of libertarianism. On the other hand, I am a supporter of World Can't Wait, which is essentially a front group for Bob Avakian's Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP).

Thus it seems an important time to set out where I stand. While there are a great many things that the RCP, Libertarians, and anarchists have in common; there is also wide disagreement on many issues. Instead of spending too much time picking apart the communist or libertarian position, I'll present a series of four very short (about three minutes each) videos that give a pretty good description of anarchism. The videos were created by You Tube user DannyOKC. He describes himself as "an anarchist, a Wobbly, a vegan, a musician and a teacher." I hope you enjoy:
