Dumb and Dumber

If you were amazed at the intelligence failures pre-9/11 and pre-Iraq, this new story from James Risen's new book, will give a whole new meaning to that oxy-moron we know as American Intelligence.

Basically Risen claims we gave Iran the blue prints to build a nuclear weapon in disinformation plot that went completely wrong . And now we must consider sanctions and possible military action to minimize the threat to our nation. Peter Goss the director of the CIA told Bush last spring that the CIA had no way of knowing how far along Iran was in it's nuclear program.

If you happen to hear Bush or Cheney making claims that Iran is suddenly a threat to our national security because of some secret new documents, be sure to greet that information with a heaping handful of skepticism.
