Carnivals of the GreenWhoops, got so depressed last week, what with celebrating Independence Day and all that, worrying about the neighborhood hooligans setting off all those firecrackers in the tinderdry backyards, wondering if/when the state parks and forests will ever be open for hiking again (closed becuz of high fire danger) - that I spaced the week's visit of the Big Green Carnival. Which was number 34, and appeared at a blog called Headway Youth.I am, however, on top of this week's Carnival, number 35, at a blog called The Ester Republic. In the Carnival I have discovered a new (to me) blog, Sludgie ("We are all products of our environment. Which explains a lot.") Sludgie's entry into the Carnival is the first in what I hope truly turns into a series: Profiles in Jackassery, Senator James Inhofe (R-OK). The senator is the chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works committee, a man who continues to call Global Warming "a total hoax." Perhaps next Sludgie will profile Richard Pombo (R-CA), for our edification and delectation. | +Save/Share | | |
