The Big Liar

Bush and Rove have perfected the use of the Big Lie, a tactic that depends on a pliant and timid press and that plays on the ignorance, indifference and inertia of the masses. For four years, it was a successful tactical approach to governing the nation. A great many Americans, some with qualms or reservations, accepted the Big Lie and supported the Big Liar.

Those days are over.

The majority of Americans doubt the president's honesty. We don't trust the man to be truthful in the important questions affecting our national security. We know he lied to us to start a war -- a war that most of us think was a mistake for America.

He can't sell the Big Lie here anymore, and it is pathetic to see him try. Yesterday his lies fell flat, and Americans were repelled. He insulted our intelligence by making the same discredited arguments again. He insulted the memory of all those who gave their lives because it was their duty to fight in the war his lies made possible. He insulted the office he holds andhe deserves to be removed from that office.

Impeach him now!
